KANSAS CITY
MISSOURI
This project for a Kansas City plastics company was a unique and very creative use of the Rapid Roof Lifter jacks. The factory decided to install a new tower for a plastics machine inside their current structure. Typically, this would require the removal of the existing roof so that a crane could be positioned outside the building to facilitate construction of the tower.
Rapid Roof Lifter used a “reverse construction concept” to accomplish this project. The tower was to be constructed in 3 sections; a base, middle section and then a top. We worked with the tower installation team to construct the “top section” of the tower FIRST on top of an 11’ Rapid Roof Lifter jack. Then, the top was raised and the “middle section” was built under it and then also raised to allow the base to be built under the middle and top sections. Then the final completed tower assembly was lowered to its permanent positions and the Rapid Roof Lifter jacks were removed.
